View Full Version : Reseting Maya's User Interface ?
Osmosae 04-14-2006, 01:07 PM Hey there, I'm new to maya and when i opened it up i decided to play with a few things to see the outcomes. Unfortunately i ended up getting rid of all my tools lol. I'm just wondering is there a way to reset the user interface like in max (downloaded trial version of both to test them :) ) Or what do i have to do to get my viewable tools back to the way they were? I have looked through the help section, and the forums here, not saying its not there, but if it is i dont know what im looking for.

Do you have any saved scenes in your maya folder,or any other important file?If not,go to my documents, there you see a maya folder, delete it,restart maya and now it is reset and maya will automaticelly remake a fresh and new maya folder. If you have important scenes and stuff like that in your maya folder, you can try to delete the preferences in my documents>maya,I'm not sure about this,so it this second option at your own risk.
