Paul Carry,
thanks, this old guy is lot's O fun! The eyebrows were done with Sasquatch. It's a plug in, but with Lightwave 7.5 Sasquatch Lite is included. Could easly be done with that also.:)
don't mind the shirt, needs lots of work:thumbsdow

That is very cool
He has so much character! :D
How about adding a nice bump map now? Give him loads of wrinkles, and bump those liver spots out a bit too ;)
I think that the beard is a little too feathery. I know that Saslite is a bit tricky to get decent settings with though, but try increasing your coarseness amount. Make it look harder and scratchier.

Hey Leigh,
Thanks for the feedback. Here's an update with bump maps. I'm still kinda working on the scratchier beard, but here's what I have for now.:) What do you think?
squidinc,
Thanks, I'll play with the hat some what later I think.:)

That's looking cool, but in places the bump map seems to be going a little bit haywire :surprised
What kind of projection are you using - standard, or UV?
Also, try localising the bump detail - for instance, add wrinkles around his mouth and in the corners of his eyes, and places like that, where there often tends to be a concentration of wrinkles ;)

Leigh,
Yep, there going heywire quite a bit, but I also think I went a little over board. This has been standard so far. I tried UV first but the mesh is very organic as you can see. I did cylinder and it was just not looking to good:shrug: Here's a little more progress, I think>>> I'm still going to have to localise a bit as you sugested:) thanks for all your help, hey how's the beard looking?

Yeah that beard is looking great
Although I do think it could still go a little coarser :)
Make him look a little more grizzled.

Hey Remi,
Thanks! I've got to start on this old man's shirt soon and I would like to model a nice crisp dress shirt for him. I could use all the help I can get on this, so if you could keep an eye on this thread I would much appreciate it:)
Leigh,
Thanks! I'll try going a little coarser yet:) Think I should go a little higher up on his checks? Maybe just a tad bit longer too?
little more grizzled eh:D

A little work for a better shirt. Still a little lumpy, but I like the collar much better.
