Hi. Im a fan of MotoGP, WSB and BSB and high performance bikes generally. Also want to be able to paint as freely as Craig Mullins, though it'll never happen!

Tell me what you think and how my technique can be improved...

I only do it for fun, though I'd seriously like to be good at it as digital painting is very rewarding. As for this image, it took me a few hours and I dont like where it has gone, its not as 'fluid' as the earlier image (shown below). I think this is because I dont have the confidence to pull off a decent setting for this bike:

hey that's really cool!
please go on with your drawing, it should come great! Your first image is bettr, I think you could work more on that, make more particulars, more smoke, a better shadow on the ground, go on!

i probably will finish it soon. as soon as i can figure out what to do with the setting - maybe a race track, as my earlier sketch suggested. i definitely want the rider to look airborne. i will work on the white spray, cos i like that (and all the shading/details).

really glad somebody likes it though! thanks.

the proportions are much better in the second piece, however the background works better with the first one. because the bike is moving you can get away with doing a very simple, blurred background, which will in turn put the focus more on the bike, which is pretty much the point. which program are you using?

im going to work this up when i get some time. i think it looks much better. ill add rain coming in from the right and plenty of spray when im done.
