Steve..I just downloaded that demo...obviously you have been spending some time with the Z. To be honest what do you think about the interface...anyone..?

if you're going for a games workshop space marine its completely wrong, if you're not i would rename it for sake of ease.

whats wrong with this? I dont get what your saying... anyways, I think it looks great. The name fits it fine I believe too, unless there is a hidden meaning in "Space Marine" that is more than just the general meaning.

true...but there were Space marines in Aliens, and Starship troopers...just to name a few...not everyone is familiar with GW and Warhammer 40k and they certainly dont have the copyright on the term "Space Marine"...

so, I wouldnt sweat your title like some have suggested.

Yeah, don't listen to Warped Minds or change the title. He thinks you tried to model a space marine from some game/tv show. Anyway, looks good! I'm not sure about the helmet though. Looks like it would obscure the wearer's vision.

Hey, WarpedMinds, I don't think that games workshop DEFINED what a space marine is. :shame:

Sure, I thought this was going to be a warhammer 40k styled space marine, but clearly that is not the case and its OKAY.

repeat after me, its OKAY to be different... its OKAY to be different...

BTW looks great, has a very comicbook style to it. Shading is good (not great), although the background leaves something to be desired.

I would suggest incorporating a more militaristic look to it. Add some badges, rank and a different color tone. I don't see many marines walking around in teal body armor these days. :D

mmm i sence some hatred towards me now, sorry.

I didn't mean that this isn't amazing, better than i could do, just that for people's sake an original name would be better.. to avoid confusion like this one.

But it's a nice picture, and yes it needs a more military feel to it.

Nummos, don't let unrelated arguments stop you from posting more good work like you have here. My only suggestion would be to dirty up his armor a bit. Some fried spots from laser blasts etc..... But the style you are working in is very clean, so it might have to be stylized grunge and grit to stay consistent.
