the face and head looks great, but the hair doesnt seem to work...I'd try to find a new technique for the hair...

What do you mean with the hair does not seem to work? Please tell me what you mean?
For me the hair looks "hairy" ... better than using alphamaps.

I'd say the hair is a good start....just need about twice what is there....only because he seems to be a bit thin all around...in the hair I mean. otherwise, it looks great.

Titan, Projectkmo thank you very much for the critique.
I've tried to improve the hair ... slightly thicker and a better texture.
Now i've added some more detail to the face and trashed the texture.
Heres the picture without hairs on head (reminds me of Captain Picard ;))

And the picture with full Wolverine hairs

any helpful critiques are welcome :)
excellent they look like david bowie ,hair look better than on the first picture .
i think that you need some tweak on the face to achieve a perfect bowie look ,but already cool

Sehr geil. Sag ich mal so in Deutsch.

I believe Mr Bowie's forehead is slightly bigger than that IMO... I think the hair could use some more variation in it, it looks too uniform.
