Can someone please tell me how to paint?
I like my sketches but it's a pain to paint...


I tried to do a portrait.

The initial sketch:

You've got the basic idea. I just need practice. A good thing that will help is this tip I learned a little while ago. Using the ALT button with the brush tool allows you to select the color you click on in your picture, like an eyedropper. That'll help with blending. Also using a sharp edged brush achieves more painterly results.
