sounds easy enought. can't find anything in the manual.

yeah this seems crazy

the only way I think you can do that is once you have your solid layer down

- put a hue and saturation on it and use colorize

- Now key the hue and saturation values

- be sure to use hold keys unless you want the solid to swim thru colours from red to blue and every hue between them which is not usually appreciated choose your keys right click them - choose key interpolation and select 'hold' which is under Temporal Interpolation

actually - just figured it out.

select the layer in the project window, go to layers, and then edit solid layer.
