View Full Version : Move associated texture files without breaking links?

I've finished a project, which while I was working on it, I was using texture files that lived in a general resource on another drive. I'd like to move these textures into my project directory so I can archive the project. What's the best way to move the files? I'm getting hundreds of broken node errors that only relate to a handful of textures, but can't seem to find an easy way to re-link everything. After Effects has a "Hey, I just found 120 previously missing files" feature. Does Maya have any such thing? What are my options for backing this thing up when it's looking for textures on a source that's going to be moved?
Thanks for your input.

There is a very useful mel script on highend3d called fileTextureManager.mel that provides a GUI with all the tools you need to set new paths and copy file-textures etc.
