Hi,

somehow i managed it, to get my snapping not working anymore. I mean snap to grid, snap to points etc. (x, c, v ... keys). And now i dont know, where i can make it working again. I mean, the hotkeys are still working, it just doesnt snap anymore. :(
Any hint?

did you look at the UI buttons on the statusline ?! maybe some snapping mode has been locked there ?

this used to happen to me sometimes and i wasn't even aware of, because i always work using the hotbox only. :hmm:

well, simply click on it to de-select your current snapping mode !

maybe you accidentally selected a different keyboard-layout or changed the custom hotkeys without knowing ?

Hmmm, this doesnt work. Also it hasnt anything to do with the hotkeys. For example. I have a poly cube and want to snap one vertex to another using one direction, let's say the x-direction. So when i enabled point snapping and i want to move the vertex now, it moves smoothly, like if snapping is disabled. BUT, snapping works when I use snapping in all directions at once (yellow circle). So i guess, somehow...the x, y, z directions of my snapping are messed up. Only directly snapping vertex to a vertex works.
Its the same with the other snapping options (grid...etc).

try move tool option box and disable retain component spacing check box in the snapping section

Wohoo!

Thx very much people! Its really true, that you have to turn off
"retain component Spacing" AND "world" (move) under modify->transformations tools-> move tool.

Again....BIG THX. You really saved me.:D
