Thought I'd add in some smog in the background of Mom's bubble and ended up going over a few minutes. So I guess this is about 35 minutes (though the program was lagging horribly at the start).

I wasn't fast enough to do this in 30 minutes, but it was fun!
It was done in 36 minutes without reference in openCanvas 1.

Nice one Daniel. They're a beautiful-looking pair. Really good for no ref - I was surprised to read you didn't use one. Love the colors, love the style. I have no pictures of my parents when they were young.

Ok I was really embarrassed to do such a crappy painting of my parents so I decided to give it a second try. This time about 90min in PS but I'm much happier with it.

I've never seen your parents Roberto, so I'll draw mine. :)
This is them enjoying their retirement in front of the large screen TV in their basement. (Their watching a episode of the Adam West "Batman.")

This was done in GIMP. I may have gone over a couple of minutes.

30 minutes on the nose. Not very good, I'm afraid. :\

From a very old photo (1983 or 1984); Dad passed in 1990.

Daniel, yours is awesome. Beautiful.

Thanks a lot, Vizon!
Well, I remember that photo very well, but not enough to make a realistic portrait, also... if I was going to follow references it would take much more time to finish. I'm glad that you liked! ^^

ran out of time to do what I would have liked, but so goes the story, woe is me and whatnot. My friend wanted me to do it with a light background because apprently I never do. And apparently this wasn't as light as he had in mind *shrugs*

Well, I suppose I should tell it like it is, no? My dad dissapeared many years ago and we weren't sure of his situation. Then, about a year and a half ago, my mom passed him on an offramp here in Seattle. He didn't recognize her. Crazyness! We also saw him interviewed on a KCTS 9 Currents program about homelessness one day. That was extremely surreal.

Incidentally that's also my first car in the pic... which doesn't really look much like the actual car because drawing cars is weird to me. I'm having problems installing ProCreate Painter Classic on this new PC so MSPaint is all I've got for now. 25 min. + Wacom.

Craaaaazy.

Well, I must say your drawing is really well-done for MS Paint. And you captured your Mom's expression really well.

Hahaha, mine totally sucks. I'm a beginner, so I need ref, but I had none at hand. I really enjoyed this though, no idea why they came out all sad. In reality they're happy, vital people so I did them no justice. 40 minutes (sorry!) in PS.
