I'm working on the logistics of throwing an IK rope out of a hot air balloon, and then animating its drag as the balloon floats away. The rope animates out of the balloon how I'd like it to, but the drag is waaay too stiff. I've tried trial and error with all of the settings, but I can't seem to get the rope "weighted" realistically.
The rope is a sweep nurbs object with bones running through it; to make it look "tossed", i animated the IK dynamics gravity quickly from -30 to 70 then back to -30 as the rope is growing. If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve this, I'd appreciate it.
