Hello! I'm a student of vfx in san francisco now but since I come from italy my windows xp is in italian, I just installed after effects 7 and for some reason it installed it automatically in italian (probably during the installation process it found that my os is italian). I'd like to have it in english though because I'm studying in english, how can I switch the language? thank you! Antonio

Look in your install directory, there's a "Languages" folder containing prefab shortcuts for all languages AE supports.

I have English OS but German keyboard because I live in a German speaking country.
Lot of the times when I install a multilingual software the German version gets installed even if I choose English as the installation language. The solution to the problem was-->

Control panel > regional options > select united kingdom or another english speaking country.

Thanks for the suggestion Nitin, but didn't seem to work for me. I've got a spanish version of Windows installed, with all my regional information set to UK. However After Effects 7 is still in spanish!! Any other ideas???

Just start After Effects with the attribute "-L EN" (without the ") or start it with the right shortcut from the Languages dir...

That should make it for you.
