At SkaterMatt.com (http://www.skatermatt.com) we've taken realism to a new level. With mind-breaking animation and ground-blowing uncomporessed playblasts we've translated and rotated Skater Matt into an animation icon.

We currently have three episodes done with two more translating your way.
Check out the episodes at www.skatermatt.com/episodes_page1.html (http://www.skatermatt.com/episodes_page1.html)

This is the pinnacle of animation. There is nowhere to go from here but down. The rest of us might as well retire.

That was awesome, the most realistic character animation I've ever come accross, are you sure it isn't Mocap?

Now if this isn't frontpage material, I don't know what is!

Really great work! I love the abstract idea ;-) . The simplicity and lack of complexity makes for a refreshing new style... Keep up the good work guys!

It's not just amazing, it's okay! I haven't seen the last episode yet, but you seem to have mastered the fine arts of translating and rotating. I think you should work a little more on scaling, or better yet - all three at the same time. That would be keen.

You guys should write a colouring book!

Probably the funniest things I've seen on CGTalk! Some of the comedic timing was totally spot-on, and Skater Matt's girlfriend looks pretty hot too...............

Hey, funny animation, reminds me of White Ninja Comics....you know simple for the sake of it, the new trend!!!

I am truly ashamed. Just when truly great art like Hoodwinked (http://www.apple.com/trailers/weinstein/hoodwinked/trailer/), Doogle (http://www.apple.com/trailers/weinstein/doogal/), and the soon to be released Barnyard (http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/barnyard/) are taking the craft to new heights, you fools threaten to take us back into the animation stone-age.

Viewers be warned...there are some things in the world that you can't un-watch. I had to watch Aquamarine (http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/aquamarine/) nine times just to get these gruesome portrayals of the human condition out of my head.

Thanks a lot! (*sarcastically*)

This is awesome.

My favorite part is that you actually posted an image detailing the character's 360 jump. I studied it for a while... "What are they trying to show here?"

I am truly ashamed.

Whoa! relax vanmmoocow. You've mentioned some great films there, and while we can only dream of meeting the quality of Doogle, you have to remember there are only three of us. We've pushed Skater Matt to the limits, and well, I think it speaks for itself.

Maybe a sneak peak of Episode 05 would settle your horses.

In the mean time, I've gotta check out that Aquamarine.

That was hilarious. The animation definately wasnt realistic - but im sure it wasnt meant to be, which im guessing is why your getting a lot of negative feedback.

Try posting it on sites like ifilm.com, since its more suited to them.

I think you guys are on to a great thing here. Dont let the stifles of perfect yet tediously long endevours hamper your efforts and creativity in anyway!!! I see it as you not taking the whole CG genre too seriously because noone has fun when they're waay serious about the whole thing. Theres a lot that happens in just the edits and sound mixing alone. Its quite prolific for two people offering it to the rest of us. Thanks for letting me gawk.

this is so cool...pure animation...without all the technical hassles...it's all there...timing, spacing, the principles of animation, storytelling, emotions, thinking process...front page material, definitely... n____n;

Great work. You guys have just made a new fan. I love the style, it makes me wet myself. I showed it to some friends who also wet themselves.

For me, thats the most important thing. Keep on buddies!
