It's still coming along the last I heard. They just need to get SP3 done for max because it's an update that the users been waiting for for 2 year! Now that's done, on to bigger and better things.

Hi Matt,

I did this image for the SP3 release. The complete scene file is provided with the SP3 installation. If you have any further questions just let mw know.

Attached you will find a grey shaded and wireframe rendering:

Is SP3 already available? I went to my download section of my account and didn't see a download link for it.

Edit: nevermind...it's for Stage-1 release. :D

Markus -

Thanks, that is crazy - great job, man...

I had to register on Cebas' site, because I bought FinalRender from TurboSquid, so I'm waiting for the update to show up in my download's section...

I appreciate you dropping the wire - if I have anymore questions, I'll be sure to ask you -

Thanks again,

Matt

Hey Marcus, that render is insane. How on earth did you make it? Can you elaborate on the type of maps you used, especially the displacement?

Great work.

HI,... ok, first of all here is the instruction how to get SP3:

http://www.cebas.com/faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=1&id=115&artlang=en&highlight=sp3

@ajsfuxor: As I said, the complete max file with the maps comes with SP3. Just download the new SP3 and check it out :) Mainly the starfish is a mix of several std max procedural maps. Just for the larger pins, I painted a mask in photoshop to get them at the right position.

So there is no zbrush painting or whatever.. mainly pure old school std maps :D

Does final render sp3 includes all the other SP or you need to install them all ?

@Antartica: You can directly upgrade to SP3. There is no need to install Sp2 or Sp1 before doing that.

@sticky blue: Well, i am not part of the FR-Maya beta team, but as I know the expected release is in may this year :)
