I'm kinda new at all this, generally, there is much to learn. I want to know how I can make this 'scene' look more realistic. I want to add dramatic lighting, kinda like a sunrise, at the top of that hill, with appropriate clouded sky and highlights ... so ... any suggestions or feedback? Thanks

that looks pretty good for a first time!

a good lighting setup would be for you have one direct one with a light yellow color and like a multiplier of 1.2, then have 4 omnis all around your scene with a dark gray color and a multiplier of about .8

there are probably better setups, but that it one I like :)

mess around with it I guess :)

What a little direct lighting and photoshop color editing can do ...

P.S. Thanks JonM!

there's too much overexposure with the lights...maybe tone it down a bit so there is more room to show the sky and clouds later on. The overexposure also takes away from those nice dark shadows that contribute to the illusion of tall grass...also, I would try and cover up the dirt more, maybe with with a short layer of grass. It gets too distracting.

Great job so far though
