this is frikkin' awesome, this is the closest resemblance to gollum that I've seen on all the forums so far. All the other ones were good but they just weren't Gollum, yours will look awesome once it's textured and rendered. Don't forget to use the sub-surface scattering. Excellent!! :applause:

In fact, since people seem to be trying to model Gollum, maybe the administrators should set up a competition to model Gollum. I think that would be really cool.

That's a great idea! I don't think people should be limited to reproducing Weta's interpritation of Gollum though, It'd be much more interesting to see how people visualised him from the books themselves. Someone start this comp!

Great model by the way, my only criticism would be that his jowls seem to be a bit large; the area either side of his chin.

This is a beautiful WIP, 4 hours!! WOW!! Can we say speed modeller. There is nothing I like more than a speed modeller who can produce quality work in no time!!!:buttrock: Rock on dawg

Only problem I see, is I see to many Star Wars and LOTRs models. I mean come on, there are a bunch of people with really cool characters to model, why model the characters that someone in Hollywood is getting paid to do and someone who has 100's of modellers to do it for them. Shoot I got characters you can model, heheheheh!!!

Nah but really keep up the great work!! Loved Gollum, don't like that he is modelled over and over and over again. Hey show us some of your original stuff from your head, I bet that would kick but. Great Work!!!!

fasty yes its getting boring seeing over and over the same character but i had to try just to see if i could do it..at least the closest to the real gollum but i think that its a great idea to model gollum has each of us sees it!

flog i did the first image og gollum in four hours the rest of the body came after and the tweeking of the face too
I usually create my own characters but in this case i did an exception and koma challenged me so i had to try it
