Has anyone started putting out video training or books on using modo? Or are there some project based online tutorials? I have come to the conclusion which ever comes first lw9 or modo2 will get me hard earned bucks. But I want to start playing around with modo.

Check out http://www.luxology.com/community/ , http://www.sabpro.com/modo and http://www.vertexmonkey.com for some nice video tutorials.

There will be a book by Dan Ablan for modo 201 once its released.

Cheers.

The Pixel Corps (http://pixelcorps.com/) has training on modo. If you're into organic modeling, there was a recent tutorial on creating a frog in modo, for instance.

Hey guys -
my book coming this summer is entirely 201.
This is why it wasn't released as planned. We were planning it for 103 but decided to wait and start with a full 201 book.

Then, you'll find a full modo 201 Signature Courseware at 3dgarage.com as well.

Dan,

Help! I'm confused. I don't know if I'm supposed to buy your new courseware for Modo 201 or not. Here's a quote from the writeup regarding the courseware on your website:

""In fact, our training course has been chosen as one of the few included learning materials in the release of modo 201."

Sounds like it's free and included with the distribution disks from Luxology. If this is the case that's great. If the included material is more "teaser" oriented and designed to get you to buy the full set, then you may want to make your website a little clearer. Otherwise you might be missing some sales including my $149.

I enjoyed your Lightwave books and videos and look forward to your modo efforts. Good luck with the new series.

Thanks Brian -
over an hour from "3D Garage" is on the release -
We're not repeating that in the course, nor is the course included with the
release of modo.

The Signature Courseware for modo 201 is all new stuff, and not
a freebie anywhere. If there is a freebie, it'll be posted online.

Hope that makes sense. The site should read "Training from 3D Garage has been
included....." or something like that.

I'll have the office make that a little more clear on the site.

Thanks -
