Ill admit it now, i started to do this on and off after I saw TTT. I just had to have a go at facial animation with soul. Ill admit ive got along way to go but ive got to start somewhere. Ive never really done full facial animation before so for me this is making it up as i go along.

Before I started I thought to myself that every part of the face had to move somewhere, if there was any part of the 'skin' that was static then it just wouldnt give that illusion of life. Of skin moving over muscle and bone.

Anyway here is my really early work in progress. Im making it in sections then when im happy with what they do ill join them all together. They are morph targets.

As you can see the eyes and mouth are very static at present, but as I said early wip. The mouth actually doesnt have any movement in the angry or relaxed pose, it only moves in the shocked pose. Odd yes but it just happened like that :)

I debated with myself as to whether to post this in its current state. People might say theres not enough to warrent criting yet. If you think that then fine :) But if anyone has any worth while comments to make then please do.

Its Divx 5.0.2, you might need to save target as im afrad.

Here are 3 images ive taken from it in relaxed, angry and shocked.

At the moment i am not concerned with the quality of the model or proportions or making it look human or alien. All im concerned with is the expression.

hehe, as thay say: "No news is good news"

But seriously, it looks like a good start.
I am not an animation wizz but it looks really good and i think it is a smart move to start with the parts still not connected which gives you a better sense for how the morphing works.

Keep upp the good work and do show more if you get anything done :wip:
