View Full Version : Pb with mtor subdiv warning

Hi,

I have a pb with mtor subdiv : I have 1 object and 5 shaders assigned on Maya Shading Group.
When I use the Pixar Subdiv, I have a warning message like this :
" Warning: mtor subdiv warning mesh has multiple connected components: only 135 verts reachable in the mesh but 270 were specified "
And the subdiv seems to apply on a part of object - ???
Someone has an idea ??
Sorry for my english, I hope you understand my pb :))

Your mesh is borked. Make sure all your verts and edges are connected properly.

the mesh is clean - transform freeze, history deleted, vetex and edges connected properly ... ??

Cleanup you mesh and make sure non-manifold topology is checked.

Or:



install Wings (http://www.wings3d.com/)
Export as OBJ from Maya
Import OBJ into Wings
Select faces with hidden material
Apply default material
Cleanup mesh (default settings shoule be ok)
Export as OBJ from Wings
Re-import clean OBJ into Maya.

Apparently, it's just a bug of Maya OpenGL
When I do a render, it's OK ....
