Hello! This is my first participation to these challenges :P
When I first read the name of the contest, I immediately wanted to join!

So I have an idea of a journey, that the FutureLeaderOfTheWorld is riding on his wild horse for the first time is about to gallop into the glory.

I'm still building a set of crowd howling him back and everything else is still under way :)

Hope you like it!

ps: I choose all wrong those milestones, forgive me. This is absolutely not 'final colouring'..

I really like the composition, your rendering style and the guy's face, it reminds me somehow of a discworld story...his expression, the situation...

The pose of the horse bothers me- I'm not sure if it's the perspective, the position of the legs or both?

hehe! Thanks! I first made the horse look straight forward, but it looked too ordinary and wel... boring :D

So it like rapidly thows his head around wanting to shake the boy off his back by running fast as hell!!
But if you think it really looks disturbing, then I just have to make something to it of course :)

ok... I fixed the neck so it leans forward..

well, here's the better composition. I think I'll work with this one ;)

I like this last one, now when you got the horse backlegs in order...

I think you should bend one of the forelegs a bit, lower the horse's head a bit, have him looking ahead through his brow and open the mouth a bit to show him breathing deeply....

I much prefer the composition this way, good job!

Thanks makaron! :)

I can't think of anything more difficult than those backlegs! But when I work fast and only think about the movement, it comes together much easier!
Earlier I focused too much on the colours and other stuff so I forgot to add some power and a good angle.

Ok.. to be continued... :buttrock:

May need to extend those legs a bit, it looks like a stud. Us indian folk don't like studs, hehe, jk! But thwe legs seem a bit short though. I like the colors good job!

You have a lovely concept sketch. I look forward to seeing it completed. It's a daring angle to take on, but I think you can do it.

I love the POV, perspective and colouring. The legs look better on this post. I agree with paperclip that the horses mouth would look better open a bit. (pun)

wonderful idea! the character and horse's expressions are beautifully done; rich color contrast also makes this a dynamic image. my only sugg would be to raise the horse's front legs a bit o have him almost leaping out of the frame -- might increase the sense of speed and perspective. can't wait to see this evolve -- very nice work...

The horse's front right leg looks too short. Also you should make it more perspective-distorted.
Nice work

I really like the final concept you have chosen. It is great. There is so much determination on the expression of the horse and excitement on the face of the boy. You have captured the speed of the moment very well. I wish I could offer more of a crit but so far I love it!

I really like the perspective view of your scene. It's workin' well. i can feel the speed too.
Good work so far. Keep up!

Good luck!

the horse position, when in crossed position (maybe little bit disorted), i think it's most spectacluar, & the driver should bee in a ""half of falling out" action". What do you think?

kisalon

hohoo Simonas! How on earth did you guess that I'm just making the rider almost falling off it's back?! You people are mind-readers allright!

I'm always happily surprised about great comments and tips you give me, it keeps me going and inspiration flowing :)
Thank you!

I'll try to post new image tonight if I find the time :)
