View Full Version : Script to provide xsi style edge loop shortcuts?
smath 04-10-2006, 07:06 AM Is there any scripts out there to provide the same shortcuts for edge loops/select contiguous edges/etc that xsi has? like alt+middle click?
Thanks!

under edit, there's select edge loop, border loop, and continuous edge (or something like that).
also, MJRPolyTools --- is a really good script that is probably what you are looking for. ver 1.3 i think

I would stick to Maya 7 native LoopSplit nd RingSplit tools. If you really want to use 3rd party scripts use OMToolbox. The problem with MJPolyTools is that even though it works good it creates expressions for each split which increases the size of your scene.
in maya 7:
select the edge then hold down ctrl then press RMB and fastly drag diagonal far-right-down and then release to acces the select edge loop command or drag diagonal far-right-down and then drag back to center to acces the select edge loop tool.
Once being used to this sketching through marking menus method, you'll get very fast in modeling tasks btw ;)
and as hanskloss, stick to maya's tools if you have maya 7.0 ;)
