View Full Version : Splash page : clouds
tozkera 12-29-2002, 07:18 PM This is an image im thinking of putting as the splash page of my soon-to-be design portfolio.
Critiques, comments, where could i improve and how, is VERY appreciated.
note : the real pic is 2x the size of this one and with much more quality. i had to downsize it to fit the 40000 bytes limit.

actually there's no lens flare. i made that light effect with blur radial > zoom mode. i hate lens flare, too. :D
yo man this is great I really don't know where this guy saw lens flare here but it's ok, great

one idea, you could make the shafts of light more dynamic... instead of having a pretty much circular image of the clouds, the beams of light could cut through the outline
i took the liberty of doin a PS job on your image..

thanks....yeah thats a good idea :) thanks for making the image, to illustrate....
well i tried to do that, but it is sorta of getting too bright and too uniform..i think i will lower the brightness of it and then add the light effect over it, whaddya think?
(im not posting any progress here yet cuz my net is slow and i gtg :( )

it's nice... but the radial blur isn't coming from the sun, it's offset, it looks like it should be shafts of light, but it isn't. It's not quite clear what your intention was here (feeling of movement? light shining down on your work?) at the moment it doesn't appear to work as an image for me. also there are too many shafts of light, it looks badly superimposed for me. i like the overall layout though, it's nice and clean, and i think you should keep with this image, just touch it up here and there a little bit :)
