Hi all

I'm just wondering if the guys over at Maxon have thought of this? I think it would be a really handy and efficient if C4D could do a Collect or Package simmilar to Adobe InDesign or Macromedia Freehand. This way it would save one time from having to manually go through different folders and archives collecting textures and materials in order to be able to use the Scene file and all its resources, ie. on another machine; PC, Mac, etc.
This would also make it very easy to archive and backup scenes files along with all their linked files. InDesign does it very nicely; dumps all linked files into a folder along with a report file - so did Freehand.

Could something like this be implemented into C4D?

Just an idea that would save me lots of time having to move file about!

Good idea, now go to Maxon's website and suggest it to them.

eh, I thought of that as well, but he's talking about backup scenes and other files like that, not just textures etc.

I dont see any mention of backup files. why would you want to duplicate all the old backup files of a project?

File > Save Project

Ah, that's exactly what i was looking for.
Feeling kind of silly since it was there all the time!
Works like a charm!
Thanks guys.
