Looks good so far...

If you're going for a sci-fi look i think you could add some wires and cables on the walls. Also add some emergency lights on the ceiling and along the walls... Give them 10% or less brightness and make them blue or red, that will give some subtle lighting to the scene and to the darker areas.
You can also add a round hole on one of the sides with a turbine with some volumetric light passing through...
Just some ideas.

Nice work.

twilight good ideas :)

i would add some blood drops on the floor (it's very reflective and i like thie idea of making it dirty with blood :)

this would add some character to scene. Ofcourse with all the ideas of twilight.

how about some signs on the wall and a security lock with a keypad next to the door?

change the camera angle, dead straight on and symetrical isn't so interesting. just maby move the camera off to the side a little, perhaps rotate it so that the horizon line is at an angle, give it the perspective of someone peeking around the corner, seeing this scene.

A really small update here:
http://w1.132.telia.com/~u13211660/3D/sci-fi_hall6.jpg
Don't like the way the "warning" lights looks like but thats what I can do w/out reference pics (my imagination really suck).

Does the thing right of the door looks like a handprint scanner?

And what is the best way to divide the floor into tiles? Bump map?

Oh, btw.. Thx alot for the great ideas! Really helpfull

Blur Studios have a really nice tool to do wires in 3dsmax!
You just specify two objects (e.g. two boxes) and the number of wires you want between them. There are also controls for the randomness on the thickness of the wires.

If you have 3dsmax you could make it there and then export it to C4D.

Scripts available here: http://www.blur.com/blurbeta/

I'll try to post an example a.s.a.p.

I like twilight's env very much but I like more your one!!
To make the env better you should add some stylo light on the wall, You have to choose the appropriate lights for your spaceship sector. Maybe some long neon lights.
Please change the font, maybe take some ideas from a Star Trek episode!! :-)

The door need some improvement. Need more details............

Don't change the floor.

Ok, here it is. Very very simple! In fact, it would be easy to write an expression like this in C4D, i suppose...

http://www.streetdogstudio.com/incoming/wires1.jpg

First you select the objects you want the wires to go through.

http://www.streetdogstudio.com/incoming/wires2.jpg

Then click Make the Wires... eheheheh... easy, huh?

Check all the parameters available. It really makes it simple, doesn't it?

It takes advantage of the fact that splines in 3dsmax can have thickness. Maybe using "Quick Pipe" along with an expression would do the trick...
