View Full Version : Modeling: Seperating a combined object
pip2k 04-08-2006, 10:14 AM I seem to be having problem seperating a combined object. Once I click on seperate, it just keeps loading, I even left it on all night and woke up to the same loading icon?
Any ideas?

If you didnt merge the vertices it should work. Anyway you can try another way. Go to Edit Polygons >> Selection >> Selection Constraints... In the window down on the Propagation check "Shell" then select one face of the part you want to separate if the vertices are not merged it will select the whole shell, then go to Edin Polygons >> Extract..
Before Extract make sure that "Keep faces together: is on
