Hey gang. So I'm sitting around, watching an episode of LOST the other day and I'm like "Huh, no one has modeled something from LOST. At least not what I've seen. That's a plan! I'll do it!" Then I'm like, hmm, what am I gonna model? The island would be a pain in the butt to do, so how about the hatch? Hey, that'd be an idea. Okay, where to start? The Gun Keep seems like a great place. And thus, that's what this is.

Eventually my plan is to model the whole hatch interior, but just one room at a time for now.

Here's what I did this afternoond. The lighting, textures, models are mostly just temporary stand-ins. The room is never lit fully, so I have to go off of moody screenshots of cement walls and such.

The ceiling isn't that bare in the show. Instead it's filled with pipes and electrical conduit, all of which I'll get to eventually in the modeling. Also the walls are very smooth in the model so far, I'm gonna work on wearing them out a bit. The cot still needs modeling, right now it's a floating 2 inch piece of blue board. I know the island's magical, but not THAT magical. There's also tons of minor details needed to be added yet, such as a blanket and book that they gave "Henry" for the cot, the light fixtures and, oh yeah, the deadbolt door.

It's early, but so far, what do you think?

Hey Lost is a great show I can't wait to see how your scene turns out. Looks like a good start to me. I'm guessing your using vid caps for refs? I actually did a Locke bust and posted it the other day if you want to check it out. \/\/\/ I'm looking forward to your updates. :)
