heh, I didn't mean to be offensive, I like the piece, just reminded me of whatever I was spewing up on holiday once.

it wasn't even normal sick, it was like stringy green and black stuff along with blood... minty mixture eh?

If you can manage to make stuff like this, with this quality in colour, but very big and with oilpaint or acrylics, it will sell like hotdogs.

nice colour and texture.

Do what jeroentje said. A nice big 3m x 3m oil. $$$$$$$$$

Lobbies of innercity office towers are filled with this stuff.

I think it should look a bit more solid. I would like it like a mass. Yes i am not much into abstract, though i like some pieces.

yeah like Jeroentje said , if it was an oil painting it'll sell like crazy. especially here in san francisco.

Thanks for all the replies!

It's been awhile since I broke out the oil paints. I have been using the digital environment to work through ideas, and perhaps someday I will give the oil paints a go again.

I think I'll try a couple more old ink drawings as a basis for some photoshop work, as this one was.

PS - What would you say the ballpark $$$ figure paid for large scale oil/acrylic paintings is? (I realize this is pretty open ended-- but say for the type that "fill innercity office buildings" as blindleader mentioned?)

About E 2500,- to E 5000,- when it's around 1,5x1,5 meters... don't make them 3x3 meters. That way you have a bigger market, cause 3x3 will not sell to private buyers. Make several, and show some good professional looking reproductions of stuff you have "sold" ;) Or even better: make several paintings and take them to a gallery that will sell them for you.
Don't aim to low on your price, if you want to be taken seriously, but don't price yourself out of the market.

Thanks for the pointers, jeroentje. That would be some nice $$ on the side. Producing in paint would be a whole different journey to get back into, but perhaps worth it. :)
