firstly ill say that i have taken a look at the sticky thread listing the software but instead of looking at all of the programs websites i thought it would be best to ask: i need a program that will work on windows 98 and with a 350mhz pentium 2? also i would prefer a program that allows you to put 2 movie clips into the movie at the same time, cos i wanna do a kind of a 24 style split screen thing.

thanks for the help :)

Wow Windows 98? What planet are you from lol. I'm not sure if Adobe makes a version of photoshop that runs on 98...it's a really old OS that has pretty much been abandoned. You should upgrade to Windows Vista later this year (or next year depending on Microsoft's business decisions).

I used to cut with Premiere 5.1 and I think even 6 on a similarly speced system. Or else Mediastudio about one or two versions back. It wasn't quick of course, but it got the job done.

yeah i know, im 8 years behind the times. its just that ive got an old computer and windows 98 is the only os i have on disc. photoshop does run on 98 though, ive got photoshop 7 and it works perfect, along with loads of other programs, such as dreamweaver, flash, illustrator and even good old lightwave, even if it is only 7.5. im hopefully startin uni in september and maybe ill get a new comp then, i dunno, but until then ill stick with good old 98.

i downloaded jahshaka though, both versions. 2.0 dont work at all cos it needs at least windows 2000 and 1.9 just ****s up when i open it. i guess ill have to put up with not bein able to do the things i wanna do with editin me animation and stick with nero vision. its quite a limited program but it edits everything together good enough
