Hello all :)
I'm back with another wip.

First time for me i really try to make a kinda architecture work. I worked for this image on old roman/gothic style to give an aspect of some sort of Moria or this kind. Just a try on this image, but i hope to build the whole building... A tower. Here's just the beginning for the inside of the building which will be some more fantasy than real i think :)
I have to add alot of details like statues and sculptures.

Lightwave7.5 for all the work

I like it... But the char looks dumb, and perhaps some torches or put a big fire pit half way up the pillars inside of it, then ahve the for corners hold the weight of the building.

Looks quite alright
The moods feels good. Nice lighting :)
I guess the character is just a dummy to hold the torch?

Is the texturing all procedural?
Keep it up STRIKE !! :wip: :D

That's awesome! I love the mood of it, and I think the character is fine for it. It's such a serious mood and atmosphere, but this sort of goofball is in it. I think it's cool, it'd be nice to see some animation in it. Close up of character in foreground looking back toward the architecture around him? just a suggestion,

I like your architecture a lot!!, but it needs something else in the scene, maybe another guy?

Sedah : well in fact i tried to give some weird atmosphere near to wet stone or something... I don't know to explain it, but i want this place to be wet and dark so that's why i push more specular... But i'll try to reduce it ;)

Merlin : hmmm... good idea ;) As it is still a wip, i have to finish the whole scene before doing anymore animation, but i'll think about your suggestion ;) thx :)

JonM : Yea, i have to add more characters. In fact i just used my toon to have the good sizes between pillars and characters, but i think i'll modelize real fantasy ones for the whole scene and tower :)

I'll be away for some days, so that's my last update of this year :( But i'll be back soon in 2003 for new updates !

Keep it up, and happy new year to all of you !! :)

I think i see where you are going with the shader. I really like the idea of wet walls...makes me think of a real cave. Try using a layered shader, in maya speak I would make the main shader a lambert or very low specular blinn, then I would put a shiny transparent phong shader over it. Use the same bump map for the "wet" layer, but keep that specular map on the bottom layer, which will simulate the even shine of water over the uneven rock.

Aussi, si j'habitais toujours en France, je chercherais une vraie église pour les textures, mais peut-être tu le savais déjà. Quand même, je l’aime bien, j'adore le style et la lumière.

Hehehe, Tomek Bagiñski wouldn't be pleased :p . It looks very much like the siggraph winning short called " The Cathedral" but hey, maybe you didn't seen it. As for the scen it needs a lot of work, especially the floor. KU and watch out not to fall into riping. Greetz
