does anyone know where I can find some tutorials on making a cell shader using the ramp shader in maya 4.5. Probably a noob question but anyway that what I am :)

oh and yay for my first decent render in maya besides some spheres etc even tho this was for a tute.

3d is so fun!!!

hey dunno about that tutorial but you might wanna check out the toon shader tutorial at aliaswavefront's website . it might be helpfull :)

yeah I have seen that one....but using the ramp shader is suppose to be hell easy. oh well

i dunno tuts about right this but can give you some tips :

1. you image is heavily under exposured. thats a fault that beginners often do, so don't worry. so, you need more lights :)

2. for toon renderings i always look for specific highlights. especially for not round ones. i like the ones that look like a window cross. i guess you know what i mean.
