Title: Dawn & Dusk at the Paloma de las Cuatro Cruces
Name: Brian Andrew Hall
Country: USA
Software: Maya, mental ray, Photoshop

I had started a project way back in the day at school and never finished it, wanted to completely redo it. The goal was to create something more visually pleasing and more efficient in the way of modeling. The old image can be found at www.thecourtjester.net/stills/cg106.jpg
a high res version of all the shots taken can be found at www.thecourtjester.net/stills/cg012highres.jpg or a lower res can be found at www.thecourtjester.net/stills012.jpg
Thanks!

just wanted to link them so you can all just click instead of cutting and pasting.

i did want to get some feedback. i have a friend who is in the business and he said that lighting looked artificial...im not a lighting artist so i would love to get some feedback on how to really get a good looking dusk and dawn lighting sceme.

also he said the trees looked like crap, which is understandable, they are paint effect trees....wasnt focusing on the trees more so on the building...he suggested making trees from scratch...anyone else think that too??

thanks,

brian

Wow, that is really good. The only comments/concerns is the sky. Looks a bit unrealistic compared to the building and the rest of the environment.

4/5
