Title: Pushing Tin
Name: Michael A. Daglas
Country: USA
Software: (Other)

Pushing Tin was modeled in Hexagon and rendered in Carrara 5 pro version ,cloud background made with Terragen, all textures made by myself in Photoshop 7. Trying to go for that plausible effect of what a futuristic craft might look like.

Hope you like it .
A comment or two would sure be nice.
Thanks , Michael.

Modeling looks good, though I think the background is a bit plain and could use a little somethin - somethin! You know what I mean...maybe even lightning or something to just spice it up a bit. I think a maybe a bit less reflectiveness on the ships hull might be good as well because the textures and lighting make it come off all CG like. Great design though, keep up the good work!

nice model and concept.
I think the light in the background didn't work
and the ship head is too big and flat.

Nice! Looks like it would also work well as a boat too.

Cool fighter you got here, man!

Agreed about the BG - it works the way it is, but if you add more details (a distant ground beneath the clouds, maybe?), itīll get even better.

Maybe, something like this:

Anyway, great work!

Thats a very nice model, the lighting is good, the background is good, but it needs a bit of blurring.

Thanks for comments, reflection is a tad to much on the craft and maybe next time a little more ground effects . thanks for the response and ideas.
Take care and have a productive week. Michael.

*%#%&!! Spectacular modeling! I'm glad to have found you, I'd really like to see your approach to building this craft, I'm trying to do similar things in lightwave, and still learning. Its quite nice overall, especially in atmosphere. The design looks like a combination of futuristic and modern. I'm sure it would be fun to animate this.

BUT..

Its looks like you finished the model, then decided to add 2 huge jetliner engines to the wings. I mean, if you look at it, it's a complete aircraft without the 2 jet engines.

Also, something about the spec and shadows that bothers me. There's a wing on the bottom of the plane, kinda beneath where the pilot sits. To me, this wing should always be in shadow for all (3) images. The spec is weird to, especially in image 2 & 3. How can there be an eastern spec on tip of the aircraft, when the lightsource is entirely behind the aircraft?

Maybe you added a fill light, I'd try turning off "affects spec" for that light.

very nice! I think you could really use some spec maps tho to break that up a bit. Keep it up!

Good Work. The modeling its great.I like the design too.Maybe the wings seems to me little and weak.Maybe increasing a little its thickness and length is enough to be believable.
The source of light of the scene comes from behind so the reflexion of the sun in front of the fuselage shouldn't be there.

Really looks great model. The clouds look very good too.
