View Full Version : Lightwave Scheme?
JoelOtron 04-06-2006, 02:46 AM I've got a friend who just switched to c4d from lightwave. He's having a bit of trouble adapting and I thought I'd find him a LW-like GUI scheme that he could use. I know there was one on the Maxon site a while back (when they were offering a LW-switch bundle) and I've seen snpashots of similar schemes around the forum--but no link.
Anyone willing to share?
Thanks

Here you go...
Although, I thought this scheme was pre-intsalled, so he should have it.

Thanks!!!
Maybe its on the goodies disk. I have 9.5 and I defintiely dont see it among the schemes I can chose from in the viewport preferences.

My bad, I just gave you the scheme, and not the layout. :-P

Thanks again Will :)
Its funny--my friend is actually complaining about all the stuff missing from c4d that hes used to in LW.
But its all the things that make c4d a much more user freindly proram IMO.

Like the lack of a real Multiple Undos in layout...or the quirky stability...or the fact that you can't animate what you are modeling in real time?
He'll get use to it. LW teaches one to be a great problem solver because of the limitations that are placed on them. LW modelers are some of the best around...but hey, the future is about flexibility. Once you get the paradigm of 3D...you can use it anywhere.
