the "lava" should be luminous due to transluscency. It looks quite dull right now.
u can either use sub surface scattering or fake it with luminosity settings.
don't forget about the light the lamp casts. :)

oooh im such noob, i can't work out things on my own...im like a robot give me data and you get results out of me depend on the data.

get to know your tools (cinema) and learn to see things in terms of 3d graphics...
