View Full Version : action center shortcuts!
Mike RB 04-05-2006, 08:06 PM I've been forcing myself to use the action center shortcuts lately and it's much faster to work with modo knowing them. alt-a,s,d,z are great.
alt-a is automatic center (the default)
alt-s is selection center
alt-d is selection center with world axis
alt-z is element center

This is something I really never bothered looking up, but now someone has done that for me... I just gave those shortcuts a whirl, and yep a real timesaver.
Thanks.

I would also encourage every modo user to check out Allan Kipili's myToolIcons script over at vertex monkey. It allows the easy setting of independant action centers, action axis and multiple falloffs. It's an essential tool...

They save me loads of time. I use alt-e for pivot mode a lot too - I managed to bodge togethor a script so I can press a key to set the pivot to the last 'thing' selected and then automatically switch to pivot mode, really good for rotating / scaling around arbitrary centres.
