on the first sketch, the eyes seemed to be a little close together/crossed, though i cant seem to see it on the last picture...
did you use ref?!
mind it doesnt become a nice sketch with lazy rendering!

It's a nice drawing, but that girl is way too sexy and weak looking to be Cheetara. Cheetara's a warrior, strong and powerful. Give her some muscles and strength in her looks!

Thunder Thunder Thunder Thunder CATS!
ehehe, who could possibly not love em? I've thought of doing some "Garbage Pail Kids" inspired drawings... ahhhh my childhood, how I do miss it *sobs*
I don't know who is Cheetara, but I agree that this girl is really sexy! ;-)
Great sketch, it should come out a beautiful work!

Thunder! Thunder! Thunder! Thundercats HOOOOO!
Oookay, Cheetara is shaping up fine. Lion-O's pose looks odd. It surely lacks the attitude that Cheetara has. Maybe it's his facial expression though, could be a little more confident looking. I also think that the sword looks odd horizontal. If you must place the sword in the picture, I think that maybe you can angle it a little so that it's not totally horizontal.

right sorted liono out, started on painting it, think i will make cheetaras face a little moody like lionos. what do you guys think :)

kinda looks like you looked at a pinup girl before you did the drawing and based it iff of her.
chetara was more physical, like girls similar to laracroft.
it's not bad but it looks like you are trying to be like the nomr of most comic book artists.
all girls are fashion mag girls that look like they would be to afraid to break a nail instead of going into battle.
i am glad you redid lionel. the prob now is that you messed up his arm that is holding the sword. the upper arm is to short while the lower is to long. there is no seperation of the two parts of the arm.

Mmmmhmmm, that's a Maxim Jessica Alba photo for reference! :)
Cool stuff though I'd like to see how this progresses. You just have to get Panthro in there

finally had abit more time to play with this image abit more. any crits to help me

Dude, what was wrong with the other pose for cheetara? I thought it was great :) Guess you didn't feel the same...
05-09-2006, 01:20 PM
i just wanted her to appear stronger. I'm not sure about putting pupils in the eyes, kinda like them the way they are, but it might make them look abit dead?? also if someone can help me with making sure the muscles are ok, feel free to draw on top. i need to learn

i like the jessica alba pose too  I say go back to it... now everything looks stiff and so many verticals/horizontals. Zzzz
If you could find reference of a guy in liono's pose and work off that you may have something really nice. He just didn't fit in with the alba pose.

hi guys thanks for your help. think i'm going to stick with this pose for her though, think she looks much stronger. got rid of the stick to get rid of some of those horizontal lines going on.
started cleaning bits up.
what do you think?

I like this stance alot, the other one seemed to lower her as a hero.
I don't know if the staff is a main weapon of cheetara's, but if it is you could have it kind of running along her left side and her holding it onto her left shoulder. I think that would keep the strong essence of her and give her her sexy side too
