The other day I ran across a tutorial that helped me figure out how to do those door jambs, hoods, etc. I didn't bookmark it...D'oh....now I cant find it. It was just taking a plane and then converting it to an editable poly, then detaching a few blocks and extrude and chamfer, etc.....realy simple. Does anybody know where this tutorial is? It helped me and I feel it would be beneficial to Da-Jackel as well.
I will keep looking too.

I'm back...thanks Sgt. Archangel, I am trying that site now...Hopefully I can get this to work.

This is step-1:
make a plane in the front viewport. 60 length and 100 width. 6 segments on length and width.
Step-2: Right click and convert this plane to an editable poly.
Step-3: Select the top vertex's and drag them back to give the top of the object a bit of a curve like I have shown.

Step-4: Select polygon and make a selection like I have shown.

Step-5: Under "edit geometry", click the detach button and name the new object door....you now have 2 pieces to work with.

Another way to do this is to use smoothing groups and make sure the option to use smoothing groups is checked in the mesh smooth modifier. See the help files for using smoothing groups. They take a bit of understanding and to get hard edges you can have to take the values down really low in some cases but in the main it can be done. You will also have to put edges on your doors for this to work :)
This method was used to produce this:

I will have to read up on the smoothing groups. Thanks for the advice. I suppose that I will continue on with my posts, just incase it may help someone down the road...plus I've already started.
Step-6: Select the door piece you just created and hit the vertex button. Select all the vertexes on the right side of the panel (front viewport)....hit <F12> for the transform type-in box and on the X-Axis enter an amount of -.5
Select the Left side vertexes and do the same, except you will enter an amount of .5 this time. Now select the bottom vertexes of the door and move them .5 on the Y-Axis.
