ok....Look, i definately don't claim to be an artist, of all people, not me. But I DO realise the signifigance of this forum, and the actual professionals that have their images posted in here, so myself, i try to post only the BEST of what I have. Something that I believe is ok, compared to the works of art found in here. So my suggestion to you? As you appear to be a newbie in 3D, please try to watch and learn techniques, develop your skills and your artistic sense, and when you have reached a certain level, DO post your images in here. Now, should you require the assistance of any of the members (including myself) in a certain problem, we'd be happy to help. But do not waste the time of the people in this forum with things that you can clearly see are only beginner stuff. Having said that, i wish you good luck in your journey of becoming an artist. In the meanwhile, watch, watch and learn.
Speak for yourself tho. I happen to like seeing peoples early work. Everyone starts out somwhere, or did i miss the rule about only Uber good artists can post there pics? If you wanna crit somone or give suggestions do it.. but dont say "come back when you get some skillz" Anywayz~ Gek what 3dpackage you usin?

,, i agree,,speak 4 yourself diazgl,, its cool to see peoples creations no matter at what stage they r at,,, also what u belive to be your worst creation can be very successfull really u just dont see it yourself because u just see the bits u hate!!!
geopunk the characters cool its got one hell of alot of character:D
sometimes when u make something fast it kind of retains the spontinuity and enjoyment of how u felt when u created it,, so maby something that u laboured over for a month has this tiresome vibe,, post some more,, and it will be easyer to help:D

hmm my first response isnt here...
now wheres the icon with the middle finger..hehe j/k...
thanks paku and detek. yes i am a newbie, and a bloody young one at that, not even old enough to drink yet heh...but hey, even the best of the best 3d artists on here started out as a newbie..if not then they must be inhuman, cause i dnt know anyone who skipped that step. and i also missed that 'only Uber good artists can post there pics' guess i should warn everyone eh? :P . ive just started testing the waters of 3d,modeling im just figuring out (slowly but surely) texturing ive hardly learned, rigging i have to learn properly (or atleast how to make it WORK right) and lighting ive hardly even dealt with yet...so ya, i got some stuff to learn and get advice on..the best way i figure is to show what i have (even if certain ppl think it doesnt deserve to be on the site) and let the experience ones guide and aid us newbies. and on behalf of my self and all the others just startin out...i hardly think posting beginner stuff on this site is a waste off time...its what the site is for, usless ive misunderstood the concept behind cgtalk
oh and paku, its softimage xsi 1.5 :)

I think itīs a good start ;) Maybe someday you look back at this work and smile ! But till then try to take some more time on the modelling-stage... O.K. you want some crit, so letīs start with the boots: create a new scene and try to make boots like boots !
I mean make some easy models first and try a human if youīve got some more skillz - uhm, i am also just a newbie and started the organic modelling some weeks ago. Good luck ! ...and hope to see your progress here :D

and i found a tut on cg talk how to moddel a photorealistic fish,,, which was a great start in moddeling,, (anyone still got that link)it also has al the textures supplyed,,

just to step in here. ;) this forum is for everyone, newbie to elite, no matter what level we're at we'll always need help/suggestions/pointers on something ;)
Geckopunk83 welcome to the forum and I know how it is to be a newbie, 5 years ago you should've seen the images I were proud off heheh
Experience comes from learning and this is the perfect place to learn, trust that :)
Lastly if you really want to push yourself and get pointers along the way, I recommend jumping in on the next W.I.P challenge, you'll amaze yourself with what you can do.
I' don't have my favorite list here, but when I get to work, I'll post some links you can refer to for anatomy reference and other
cheers

eyah,
I'm also a total newbie, don't give up, read a lot of tutorials and maybe get some books on the subject, it helps a lot!
I'm planning to get me some books soon :)

relax man, i didn't kill the guy, and I certainly didn't tell him to get the hell out of here. I am simply saying that his stuff apparently need some more work, and that he shouldn't jump too fast in critique. As far as I am concerned, he could be the next Picasso of grafix, but take it slow, and one step at a time.
