idokalir 12-28-2002, 05:49 AM What approach would be the best to setup UV's on a human head: create an automatic cylindrical or spherical map, or use automatic mapping and then move and sew UV's as best as I can? I fear that with spherical/cylindrical mapping I won't get enough detail in the nose area...

check out leighs 'texturing for dummies pt2&3' there the pros and cons of the different mapping methods are discussed....what approach you use is mainly a thing to try out and be comfortable or not with the results ;)
