View Full Version : force delete camera?
comic-craig 04-04-2006, 10:40 PM Is there anyway to force delete a non-deletable node? I have some non-referenced camera's that seem to be copies of the default persp camera. I want to delete the camera- but they are non-deletable nodes. I can't export the needed art- the cameras have to be deleted out of the scene. I can't convert the file to an .ma- it has to remain .mb.... so, is there an attribute I can change to make them deletable- or a force delete mel command?

I’ve never experienced your problem, but would advise you to export selection of all but unwanted nodes in a new scene

That is a good idea- but as I said- can't export it- I've tried and it breaks the connection of referenced art.... I've tried other solutions, I'm looking for a specific one here. Does anyone know of a force delete command or an attribute to allow non-deletable nodes to delete?

camera -e -startupCamera false “front1″
replace front1 with the camera name then delete the camera
