Here we are guys.... i have this "big" problem. In the character i'm rigging i have this problem: When moving the bones of the hands i have an incorrect deformation, as shown in the picture.
Everything has it's own restriction + vertex weight map, and the problem persist even if using the Claude bonnet tool. I tougth it was a matter of the low poly cage and tryed on a simple extruded cube with two bones to see the result. it was perfect.
Ah... nothing changes even if i cange the bone function.....
HELP MEEEE!!!!

Change the strenth of the bone to 500 % That should help.

strange... what's the bone strength setting? also are there any bones that don't have vertexmaps/claudebonet maps?

it really seems like there's not geometry to me, but it's hard to tell. try to have at least one edge at the end/start of each bone.

ehm... the bone strenght is set to 500 alredy...
and every bone in the whole hierarchy has it's own restriction + vertex weight.... and... all is working fine.... exept the fingers...

Is there any possible way you can post the mesh or at least send it to some of us...
So many times I have had something like this happen and I rack my brains for quite awhile only to find... doh! there is a buried bone without a vertex or one of my vertex or bonet maps contain geometry that its not supposed to because I was painting through the mesh...

I can understand why you wouldn't want to post the character... but we would only be guessing if you don't.

It absolutely looks like there's a restriction problem. Maybe try setting up the hand restriction from scratch and see if that does the trick.

YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!
I solved the problem!!!
Didn't really know what was happening... but i split the fingers bone and added some edges here and thereand, it worked!!!!!
Here is the result!

Your BASE bone is set to r^8, right? I found that all of the other bones inherit the strength of the base bone... anywhoooo
