Hello everyone!
I started using Cinema 4D just recently and am fairly new to modeling in general, so I'd like to hear some crits and/or tips :)

Very integresting work! Model is too simple and materials too. I don't understand your idea :shrug:

Ah yes, well, my main problem is having edges without making them realistically impossible; as in, if you make a standard cube, it becomes somewhat of a circle if you NURB it, that's not good, but the standard cube is far too edged to be realistic as well.
For example, these realistically modelled edges (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=233460) (are references to other people on the boards allowed?)
Also, does anyone know of some reasonably followable tutorials for Cinema 4D 9?
P.S.
I don't know if it's worth mentioning, or neccessary at all, but this is my 3rd model in C4D ^_^;
I don't understand your idea.
Ah, well, basically this is just practice. I've got that HD lying next to me and I thought I'd model it, but I'm truely clueless on how to proceed and make it look realistic. My goal is photorealism (I also realise I'm leagues removed from that level)
Aaaaaalso, I've not exactly got an ACE computer.
Right now I'm running an AMD Sempron 2600+, 512 DDR and a Radeon 9200 SE.
I sure wish there was a buddamus around >.> (all you (pre-)sc2k players out there will know what I mean)

hmm, you mean you want the edges slightly smooth, in 3ds max you can do that in a second by selecting the edges and then chamfer them, i don't know about c4d though..
