Title: Europa Project
Name: Lamonte R Fritts
Country: USA
Software: LightWave 3D

Europa project, this is an establishing shot for a scene in a music video I am animating, all elements of the city were modeled and rendered in Lightwave 8.5. This is the first cityscape I've attempted. The tracking shot will only last for 2 -3 seconds, but I still wanted to model enough detail into the foreground and background.
Thanks for viewing and all comments and crits welcome!

Fantastic! I really like the lightning, the sense of scale, detail and depth.I wish I was on that train rushing bye...

Nop, you didn't guess on this one. Europe looks more or less like the States. Only in a smarter way. :)

Apart from that, that's a great concept. I love the style. Even if it feels a bit monotone here and there. For a flythrough animation that could work differently, tho. Certainly a superb work for 2-3 sec shot.

Pretty cool image. I think the lighting might need a little more fill light so the shadows aren't quite as contrasting. Is this supposed to be for the moon Europa around Jupiter? If so, I'm actually doing a similar project.

Thanks for the comments,

This scene will have quite a bit more depth in the animated version, certainly with more active city life. The theme of the song depicts an escape to as threir world is destroyed, so it will involve a couple leaving Earth for "Europa" .

Frizzle,I agree about the level of fill light, in the edited video there are a multitude of scenes with various looks of over saturation and deep contrast. This image is sort of an in between look.
All comments are helpful! Thanks

It looks terrific. My only critique would be that I would like to see the camera tilted a bit, but being that it is part of an animation, I dont' think its an issue. Great job.
