I was wondering what the best tool or process was for rounding the edges on say a cube, but at a very small scall, just so the edges seem softer and not so sharp... so far what im doing is using chamfer on all the edges and it gives the appearance of rounded edges, but i was wondering if there was another way...Thanks in advanced, you guys rock.

What I would to to round the edges of a cube is:
Apply Classic meshsmooth and get the edges only slighty appart, then add NURMS meshsmooth above it in the stack. :)

Is it something like this youre thinking of?

Both boxes are meshsmoothed with 2 iterations, but as you can see I have chamfered the edges a tad, the more you chamfer, the rounder the edges get.

Yeah the third one in the bunch is what mine look like now, and the boxes are extremely small so theres no need for an incredibly smooth edge like in box #4. I guess chamfer is the way to go then...

Chaos Group have a plugin called "f-edge" that is perfect for putting a slight highlight on any small geometry.

Check it out at http://www.chaoticdimension.com/products/moreinfo/1.html

It doesn't effect the geometry at all, which means nice small scenes ( :D ) but it doesn't work very well close up ( :( )

Just another option ;)
