View Full Version : strange error in mental ray

this is the error message i receive in the output window:

DISP 0.2 error 211005: timeout waiting for finished rectangles

maya halts after this..
this initiated after playing with render layers... unfortunately it corrupted my scene, and somehow even my incremental saved ones (the ones i still have atleast)...

can you tell if this happened before to you and if render layers are to blame?

i also now get a microsoft c++ error and maya just closes...
pure virtual call i believe..
i think now i should just bury the scene as it has become totally unusable...
do you know of a remedy for this ?

Yup, me too. But Im not giving up on my scene yet. I wasnt using render layers or any additional unsupported plugins.

Update:
For error 211005, deleted my ambient light, but instead of creating a different one, I just created a new ambient light and made it the same color and intensity as before. I be very happy - Thank you
