Hmmm,
unfortunately I don't think there are any. Some poeple use different editors though, maybe crimson editor or ultra-edit. These have much more functionality than the MXS editor. Somebody has a method for executing a script from crimson editor to MAX. You will need to search cgt and the discreet webboard for more

ok , and then if i use ultra edit or crimson editor , maybe i have to do like this :
edit the code .
then open max .
run script to check the code`s functions .
back to the editor.
....
back to max ..
is it true ?
thanks .

I don't use Crimson but I'm sure somebody developed a way to execute code in max from crimson editor. Searcing here and at discreet WB would help.

there's a tutorial on scriptspot on how to set it up:

I use crimson. In this page http://www.rezn8.com/freeware.html you can find an extension to be able to execute the script straight from crimson. This is good because it saves your file everytime you execute and if max crashes you don't loose anything. Also it has syntax higlight and is a proper editor.... and i almost forget... it's free
