There is some sketch of how it must be in final image, i think. A lot of detail is not showed here but i think i'll made them nice in progress of working.
I'm not running for hard modelling, i want to use a play of volume lights, shadows and contrast.. not a little work, but i think it's would be a great expiriense for me.
I'm not a profesional artist i think, so i'm working a lot to be a professional.
So i'm not thinking to win here something, my point here is a good community and a lot of great works of talentet artists.

The main characters in scene - ant. Not a perfect but i want to make some self_real looking, self_cartoon looking ant.

Thank's, now i'm working at ant model and thinking about the main scene.
So, the main threads of my mind is thinking about a big tree at the background and inside rocks and stones.

Ok, i've put some dirty texure (about 10 multitexture materials on the character), may be it's not looking pretty but i think it's what i whant to see. Dirt, ground and some old metal cap. So the ant's have done a hard way under the ground, just to begin new journey.

Ok, model is ready and textures complete too. If some one whant a closer look on anything, ask me.

Now i'm going to work on a ground where come ant will be placed. Now i'm experimenting with a lights and some volume light. Light and atmospheric effects are prepaired by half, but i'll use them in final steps of composition.
So now i'm thinking of what textures use in a front stones and piece of rock and front composition.

I've started ground modelling, so it's take some time to make composition and some experiment's with textures.

I've done far ground element's so the most hard thing for me now it's a tree, very big tree in a middle of the scene.

This tree will stand in the moddle of a scene, i've done the cave modelling and texturing and this day will try some compose with tree.

Then a will start some test composing with ant characters, but first of all i work on some stones and thinking about grass on the ground.

Environment is near the last modelling steps, some corrections to bump, some light and it's ready for characters.

Next day im going to render this scene with a tree and think about some ground.

Some atmosphere efect's added here, but almost of them will be produced in last steps and now i'm thinking about backgroung, it'll be with a far atmosphere and i whant to make some clouds for it.

Some render of environment with a little fog and lights. Front part of a cave should be dark because some ant's will go from it to outside and make some lights with their small lamps.. i'm trying now to make some good looking volume lights.

Thank's Adam, i have some other progect's to do, but now im working on this scene, and this days i will post more images and test renders.

Main problem is to make right composition with characters and some make emotions..

..and i'm thinking.. is it good idea to make some and teeth or not ...

Nice environment...only thingh maybe you shoul add some subsurface scattering to your characters...But maybe you have halready thought....:drool:

Thank's im working on details.

So this is environment modelling with post effect's, ready for characters.
Now i'm working with characters for composing, i've made some ants with biped bone system for easy coordination.. may be i should animate this..
