Here's a head I've been workin on tonite. Have been modeling for about 4h. I'm using XSI 3 and use polly by polly as modeling method. Critz are welcomed, the only thing I can see thats "wrong" is the ears, it's reealy late now though so I bet u guys can help me spot errors

Looking quite good, theres some wierd polys at the cheekbone and the edge of his face seems a bit harsh.

very nice!

one thing i'd do tho, is try to remove the pinch from the cheekbone area in the 3rd image. maybe get rid of the tris in that area....

Well, hair needs work. The face looks good although, watch out for the corners of the mouth, you made points there. You also forgot to add in the tearduct to the eye.

Well, decided he's going to be a soldier instead (basically so I can put on a helmet and dont have to du/render any hair. Anyways...started texturing him and tweaked him a bit:

Looks sort of Romanish, but if you are going for accuracy, find some references cause that armor is off. Real nice face tho:thumbsup:

You've captured the aqualine Roman nose, that's for sure. This character has an awesome profile; I suggest using that to your advantage in the final renders, and play with the lighting to play with different moods. Have you thought of using a marble texture and only rendering him as a bust?

Lukeashi: He will have underneath :)

Goon: Well I was going for 100% accuracy but the "real" armour looks a bit booring so i thought id change it a bit. Might go back and remodel armour tho and add more details.

Anim8rjb: good idea with the bust, think i will try and do that over the weekend

Thanks!

Just thought id post a wireframe

nice work man, really like the model, but I guess you should do some texturing on it that will realisticalize it some more, the feet are kinda odd too, maybe flatten them some more...

the armor is great, maybe when textures have arrived you will get more detail, really hope to see more!

one upcoming fan! :applause:

Started playing a bit with materials, two tests:

Would be nice to get some crits on this because I'm not at all used to texturing/materials in XSI. Any suggestions of improvement are welcomed. Dont mind the goldmaterial though, the only thing ive spent any time on so far is the "silver" material. Since he is wearing his "nice" armour I dont want to add to much dust rust and scratches to it.
