View Full Version : Colt .38 1902
~NoMaD~ 04-01-2006, 08:07 PM A few WIP shots of my colt .38 that I am working on. Please tell me any hints on how to improve it. I know there are a few seams on my texture, and I'm working on that... so....
Thanks.

Hey man,
it looks good. Is it a fairly low poly model? Just noticed some jaggies in the mesh at the base of the grip is all.
I think your lighting needs a bit of work because the model isn't done justice at this point. Too much of it is lost in darkness and as a result it looks a bit like it's low poly and finer detail is done with texture maps.
Maybe post a wireframe too so we can see your topology.
Keep up the good work.

Hey NoMaD, looks good, but I agree with the above... work on the lighting abit more and it could really bring this piece out. Other than that I think the bullet casings could do with a bit more of a brass texture. They seem a little too shiney to me. I see the jagged edges too from a lower poly mesh, but maybe this was you're aim. Good work on textruing of the weapon though especially the grip.
cheers
J.
