i'm having this wierd problem. when i render, my tires get blown out of proportion for some reason. can't figure out why its happ. it looks ok in all views.

it could be a nurbs tesselation issue, if it is nurbs, go to modify conver nurbs to polygons,

it also could be something screwy going on with the history, delete all of the history, then check the hypergraph and see if there are any unwanted nodes floating around.

tried both ways, but still gettin the same wierd render. i remade the tire eventually, but jus wanted 2 kno y this prob came up

Did u use trim or boolean to hollow out the car geometry? If so check if the invisible geometry is casting shadow...

The tire maybe having opposite side on. Check it off in render stats.

Did you have a displacement map attached to the tyre shader?
